WV Sheriffs’ Association Political Action Committee
Welcome to the West Virginia Sheriffs’ Association PAC webpage. The purpose of the West Virginia Sheriffs’ Association Political Action Committee (PAC) is to advance the working conditions and benefits of the members of all West Virginia Sheriffs, their sworn and civilian Law Enforcement and Tax Office personnel as well as the safety and welfare of our citizens, through Political Action, in State and National Political Races without regard to Party. The WVSA PAC is dedicated to evaluating candidates in the 2024 election cycle across various crucial offices. Our mission is to endorse and champion individuals aspiring to serve in federal positions, the WV Board of Public Works offices, judiciary roles, and prosecutor positions.
In-person interviews for 2024 primary election candidates have been set for Monday, January 15, 2023 in Charleston, WV. Offices being evaluated with the in-person interview with sheriffs will consider those seeking United States offices representing West Virginia of Senate and Congress, and West Virginia State Board of Public Works offices (Governor, Attorney General, Auditor, Treasurer, Secretary of State, Agriculture Commissioner). For those interested in seeking endorsement and scheduling an interview, please contact our Executive Director at wvsheriffs@gmail.com to schedule a time. If a personal interview is not feasible, WVSA PAC will also consider written requests. Written requests and accompanying documentation can be forwarded to WVSA PAC at PO Box 3031, Charleston, WV 25331. Written requests for the offices of WV Judiciary (Supreme, Intermediate, Circuit Courts), Sheriffs and Prosecuting Attorneys will be accepted. It is strongly recommended that the County Sheriff must be contacted by the candidate prior to submisison. Please ensure that written requests and documentation are received no later than January 15, 2023. You can see the introduction letter and written questionnaire in the below links.
Please note that it is the policy of the WVSA not to solicit applications for endorsement; rather, candidates must actively seek endorsement from the WVSA PAC.
